Rent a Car From Someone Nearby with Getaround

Imagine a world with fewer cars, without traffic jams, and with less pollution. That's exactly what the founders of Getaround did, and they came up with a sustainable transportation solution.

Getaround is a social car sharing service that enables car owners to safely rent out their underutilized cars to a community of trusted drivers. People in need of a car can rent one by the hour using the Getaround website or iPhone app.

Cars are driven only 8% of the time even though owners invest huge amounts of time and money into this asset they barely use. Meanwhile, potential drivers walk past block after block of underutilized cars. Getaround is connecting the dots to help people get around.

You can have peace of mind and feel good in the Getaround community. Drivers and vehicles are screened and rated to ensure they meet Getaround's eligibility requirements, and every rental includes insurance. And, each shared car takes 10 cars off the road and reduces personal carbon emissions by over 40%.

GetAround currently operates in San Francisco, and is working on launching in additional cities.
